pineapple passion smoothie

Think of tropical islands and let the stress melt away… Mango is rich in antioxidant compounds, which have been found to protect against many cancers, and pineapple is rich in vitamin C, which also protects against free radicals. So, while you’re pretending you’re on a beach in the tropics, know that your body is getting some disease-fighting nutrients too.

Serves 2

Ingredients

1/4 cup almond milk

1/2 cup coconut water

1 banana

1 cup frozen mango slices

1/2 cup fresh pineapple

1/2 cup fresh strawberries

2 tbsp dried coconut flakes

Method

Add all ingredients to a blender and blitz until smooth.

Andy’s Sugar Safe® Tips

Smoothies can be nutritionally complete on their own, if you add protein and fat content. For this reason, they should be considered a meal replacement rather than a beverage consumed alongside other breakfast items. The coconut and almond content in this smoothie recipe adds enough fat and protein for it to be nutritionally complete as a meal for breakfast.
